When objects move during the imaging process, or when you are working with images taken at different times, image slices may be misaligned relative to each other in the 3D image stack. Proper geometric alignment of these images is required to turn the initial image stack into a correct 3-dimensional model and ensure the accuracy of subsequent processing and image analysis. With the registration tools available in Dragonfly, you can apply matching processes to automatically align slices and build a consistent stack of images or you can manually apply the required translations and rotations.
